Conservation - A labour of love

Our conservation work

Protecting and building habitat

Geelong Field and Game has a myriad of conservation projects underway to build, improve and rehabilitate wetland habitat in and around the region. Through work at property in Connewarre and on member owned private land, the organization and our members work tirelessly to improve habitat to protect waterbirds, insects, amphibians and numerous other species of both plant and animal from environmental damage and habitat degradation.

Pest Mitigation

Through the hard work of branch members, volunteers and various stakeholders, our branch contributes to the protection of native flora and fauna through pest mitigation programs on private property around Victoria’s Western Districts.

Get involved

Geelong Field Game welcomes members who work to improve habitat, reduce pest species and remove invasive plants and weeds. Members can, through the property at Connewarre contribute to ecological improvements and learn more about the species and plants that are present at the wetland.
